About

The for-profit side of STAY.

The STAY nonprofit was built for the moment: the call at 2am, the friend who isn't answering, the night that has to end with someone alive. That work doesn't stop.

But living through the moment is only the beginning. The mornings after, the months after, the years after — those need tools too. Tools that don't assume crisis. Tools that don't shout.

STAY Technologies builds the subscription content, courses, and goods designed for that work. A portion of everything we earn returns to the nonprofit so the moment can keep being met.

Calm by default

No streaks, no shame loops, no urgency design. You set the pace.

Built with practitioners

Clinicians, peer-support workers, and people in long recovery shape every product.

In service of the work

A portion of every subscription, course, and order funds the STAY nonprofit.

Begin where you are.

You don't have to start big. A subscription, a single workshop, a journal on the desk — any of it counts.

From the Founder

A note from Joel.

STAY was built to solve a simple but critical problem: in the moments that matter most, reaching someone should be immediate and effortless.

There have been moments in my own life where my mind didn't feel like my own. Moments where everything narrowed, and the weight of it all felt heavier than it should. I've been fortunate to have reasons to stay — my wife, my kids, my friends — and in those hardest moments, those reasons kept me here.

But not everyone feels like they have a reason. And even when they do, those reasons can feel distant or hard to reach in the moment.

STAY exists to bridge that gap.

STAY Technologies is focused on building simple, reliable tools that create real-time connection when it matters most. The goal is to help someone stay through those critical moments long enough to reconnect with what matters, and to remember their reason.
